Type 17 Flanged Hex Head Timber Screws
Hex Head Timber Screws are suitable for fixing roofing and cladding to timber. Has a special long sharp self drilling point with a flute (Type 17) that cuts the timber fibres as it is screwed in. Timber fibres are collected in the flute and reduces the potential for splitting. The self drilling type 17 point can also pierce light gauge steel up to 0.6mm without predrilling. The head is a hex flanged.
Easy to install using a 5/16” socket for 10 and 12 gauge or 3/8” socket for 14 gauge or appropriate driver bit in a power tool.
